Awesome Adobe Elements 8 Tools For Digital Photographers

adobe_elements_8.jpgMost computer users are familiar with newer versions of their favorite software program coming on the market. With each new version you are usually guaranteed something new and exciting and this is certainly true with Adobe software programs. A common misbelief is that older versions will no longer work and I am very glad to say that this is completely untrue. Older versions of updated software will continue to perform just as they always did. Unfortunately you will not receive any of the newer features or upgraded support elements unless you update your software to Adobe Elements 8.

Adobes first foray into the digitial editing arena was with Adobe and it soon became apparent to the software developers that they also needed a "lite" version for those who only wanted photo editing capabilities without all the bells and whistles that accompany Adobe. Giving into this need they created Adobe Elements 8 which allows people to easily edit their photos without needing loads of training first.

Adobe has reworked Adobe Elements a few times and have currently released edition 8. Version 8 is without a doubt the most comprehensive update this program has undergone. The number of tools and features has increased tremendously and the programmers have included essentials to make it closely resemble the professional version of Adobe. Now, when using Adobe Elements, you are able to edit your photos just as if you had done it professionally with the Adobe software.

The user-interface, or desktop, is another change which makes the program more user friendly than previous versions. Now, if you are still currently using earlier versions of Adobe Elements you might be wondering what the new features include.

One of the main new features included in Adobe Elements 8 is an organizer that allows you to label your images for easy sorting and finding. The organizer also allows you to work on a variety of images simultaneously. One of my favorite new features is the fix button. The fix button combiners all of the most commonly used tools when you are editing an image. Some of these common tools you will use repeatedly include the smudge, blur and sharpen tool.

If you enjoy making personalized items you will especially enjoy the create panel which helps you create items such as calendars, slideshows, etc. To use this feature you simply need to drag your image to the create panel and then decide on which project you would like to make. It is an incredible tool for making personalized gifts for friends and family.

For me the most impressive new feature in this new version of Adobe Elements is the share feature. As its name implies you can use this feature to share your photo album via the Internet and social networking programs such as MySpace and Facebook. You can also easily share your photos via email or copy them to a DVD/CD.
